So I have a really great feeling that tomorrow will be the coolest day of the year. Perhaps the coolest day for many years. Because my father will be with me, going with me in the car, and where we both will have fun. 7️⃣⏹️

He never was into any video games. But he always loved me, he always supported me and he always was there for me. Whatever made me happy, made him happy. 6️⃣⬇️

A life where we just arrived in our new country as refugees from a civil-war in Bosnia, where this new country would be our new home. He’s the one who started all this.

My father isn’t that much into video games. He’s more into Microsoft Windows, PC or repairing his car in his retirement. 5️⃣⬇️

After all: He is the one who bought me a NES on that Swedish Christmas-sale at OBS!-supermarket in Uddevalla, that December in 1993. With Super Mario Bros. and two controllers my father changed my life. 4️⃣⬇️

I met some of my old friends there and I met new friends there too. I met also wonderful sellers and hosts, and all kind of wonderful people.

This event made such an incredible impact on me so this time I will bring my father - yes, my very father! - with me. 3️⃣⬇️

I remember how the local trainstation in Karlstad was under construction, and I barley found my childhood friend who waited for me.

When I arrived at Nöjesfabriken, where the Retroland is held, it was mindblowing how big the event was but yet so well organized. 2️⃣⬇️

Last year I was at Swedish probably biggest video game-event. I was at @retroland_massan 2024. I went there alone by train. And I also came unfortunately late, since the Swedish SJ-train didn’t had better schedules. But I was happy that I was there at all. 1️⃣⬇️
