Its quite similar to Trump losing it about that Ontario gov’t ad that had some clipped parts of a Reagan speech on tariffs, which while also edited didn’t misrepresent his views either.

I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

As someone who experienced first hand the move from BRPs to a digital ID I 100% agree. They had so many issues at the border that they ended up telling us to keep and travel with our expired cards just in case 🫥

You *could* argue that case for the BRPs too though, although obv’ theres going to be far more general public with low digital literacy than immigrants, but it’s not none either. I’m not opposed to national ID cards in principle, but I’m not convinced Labour isn’t going to mess it up either.

Well that would be an improvement but I won’t get my hopes up, they did away with the physical cards for ILR and visas which I think was a mistake (and an inconvenience).

It’s not even going to be a physical ID card?? 🫥

UK recognition of the State of Palestine was a promise made to my great grandfather decades ago. While on its own, recognition won’t solve anything without further action, it is a down payment on peace. Today we have just a little more hope, and hope is contagious.

I’m sorry but the idea that ALL women (or anyone for that matter) can tell someone’s biological sex based on *the sound of their voice* and be correct every time is absolutely insane.

You’re evading the question, how can you prove to me that you’re a women? That you’re entitled to use women’s only facilities? What if someone challenges your biological sex? (Something that has and will unfortunately continue to happen to cis women)

And how exactly do you go about proving that? On a practical level how is that at all enforceable without some gross acts of illiberalism?

Which in the case of trans women is female? So I don’t really see the need for any neutral washrooms. 🤷‍♂️
