This so-called ‘peace plan’ has real problems, and I am highly skeptical it will achieve peace. Ukraine should not be forced to give up its lands to war criminal Putin.

The size and disposition of Ukraine’s armed forces is a sovereign choice for its government and people.

The EU has rejected key elements of the US peace plan, saying borders cannot be changed by force and voicing concern over proposals to limit Ukraine’s defense capacity. A high-level meeting between the EU, US, and Ukraine to discuss revisions will take place tomorrow in Geneva.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made clear: “This war can only end with Ukraine’s full consent. It cannot be resolved by great powers over the heads of those under attack.” He stressed that Europe must be part of any solution and warned that Ukraine’s defeat would destabilize the entire continent.
