He went to Canton in Haywood county, traditionally a red county, for aTown hall. I suspect it was to bolster himself for the inevitable progressive Asheville political Crowd. But he was booed off the stage in Canton before he ever got to Asheville.

My suspicion today at the Chuck Edwards rally was that he came to Asheville, instead of his home turf of Hendersonville, was so he was not booed by his homies. He can always say Asheville is filled with a bunch of liberal hippies. What he did not count on was Canton booed him first.

I was there. I felt it to. He thought he was very clever at that moment.
