My writing probably sucks to a lot of offended self-righteous people, but frankly that will never deter me. I write because I want to, because it is what has always called to me, because it is what causes my spirit to surge with what emotion I cannot name. And above all, my texts are elaborations of the fact that everyone does only want they want to, whether a lofty cause dupes them, a casual whim guides them or a shining star of insight inspires them, until that glimmering light is consumed by the same darkness that absorbs us all in the end.

This is really crucial in understanding today's right wing: it is an arena in which you can get attention, and become famous, without any skill or insight or knowledge. All you have to do is say outrageous shit.

So it's become a collection bin for all these failed, flailing narcissists.
