Dear PM @albomp.bsky.social
I am deeply disturbed by the Zionist agenda being pushed by your Govt's Antisemitism Envoy Jillian Segal. The Australian Federal Court has ruled that opposing Zionism and criticising Israel's genocide in Gaza is NOT anti-Semitic. I agree with Dr Max Kaiser. π #auspol

Stop encouraging investors buying property
What else is a bad productivity investment? Residential land. It adds bugger all. But Australians devote far too much capital to property β almost 2.5 times that of the US:
GRAPH SHOWING THAT THE VALUE OF RESIDENTIAL HOUSING STOCK IN AUSTRALIA IS 4 TIMES OUR ANNUAL GDP WHILE IN THE USA IT IS JUST 1.5 TIMES
Our tax system encourages this with the 50% capital gains tax discount and negative gearing, while also reducing housing affordability.
Want to improve productivity? Stop incentivising buying investment properties - they generate basically no productivity growth.
The amount of money we have in housing is absurd, even compared to the USA

Chart showing that even if someone starts work today aged 18 on $106,000 and gets a 3.7% pay rise every ever, they will still only have $2.1m in super when they retire
Worried you might one day have more than $3m in super and then might get less of a tax break?
First off, seriously, you are worried about having $3m in super??
Secondly, as @grogsgamut.bsky.social writes, stop worrying you are not going to ever have $3m

There's a lot of fearmongering about a potential modest change to super tax concessions.
As Greg explains, the changes would only marginally affect the very wealthiest; those with over $3m in super, less than 1% of all Australians.
It's a good idea. @grogsgamut.bsky.social #auspol

Chart showing that there are 5.5m people aged 15-29, 4.25m people aged 15-29 in the labour force and that the Financial Services Council expects only 204,000 people under 30 currently paying tax to be one day affected by the changes to the super tax concession applying to super balances above $3m
Critics of the changes to super tax want to scare you by saying many people will one day be affected.
But their *own* numbers show that very few people under 30 currently working will have more than $3m in super #OffTheCharts @grogsgamut.bsky.social
