Google Trends showing a marked uptick in Hormuz as a search term for the past month. Not much for ages, a few searched in the past week and in the last day a sudden spike.

Good to see.
Have read articles that mention Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz but no handy map to go with it.
So, naturally, people are looking it up.

I get the fury and frustration people are feeling, especially those who just voted in the 3 upper house seats at the end of May.

The state seat of Franklin and the nominated candidates so far, for the state election on July 19.

Franklin is also done - for now - but not all candidates announced. Federal candidate Peter George picked up 20% at the May election, and is running now for the state.

I've spent a few days thinking first (!) because with 7 MPs per electorate, there will be a LOT of candidates. Have already noted several federal candidates are running in the state - no need to change the signage!

Always good to bring the reading glasses and check the percentages on the ingredients list. It's very small print!

There is a lot to catch up on in national and state politics.
But, back to basics for now and I'm gonna re-jig the Tas state electorate pages so that only this year's candidates show up. Might call it something clever like Bass State Tas 2025 (so that it's not confused with Bass State Vic.) #Politas
