Really pleased with how the Farnborough Winter Half Marathon went this morning - I wanted under 1hr 40min, and also every kilometre split under 5 minutes, and achieved both. Trained hard for months for that! Great event too.

Last-minute dash to Hazelwood parkrun due to all the cancellations. Really enjoyed it and it was very well organised, particularly as they had to cope with all the extra visitors. The tough uneven ground was a challenge at first but soon got used to it on subsequent laps. #parkrun

Four laps of Paignton Seafront in the cold bracing wind. Great fun! There were lots of people out doing the same too.

The Great Field parkrun in Poundbury, Dorchester. Really liked that one - welcoming, punctual, well-organised, fast, and a nice path to run on. The 1.5km lap didn’t feel that long, although the winding nature of it made it hard to tell the gradient at times. Would definitely do again. #parkrun

Old Deer Park parkrun on Christmas Day morning. Great to get out there and back where it all started for me. That felt like a trail run so was tough on the legs, especially by the third lap. Thanks as always to the amazing volunteers. #parkrun

Ran part of the South West Coast Path today from Paignton Pier to Broadsands Beach. I’d forgotten that coast paths are steep, rugged, and have lots of steps! Great views though.

Farnborough Winter Half Marathon. One of my favourite races as it goes round the edge of the airport. I struggled from about 8km for some reason but still just dipped under two hours.

Teignmouth Promenade parkrun this morning. A fast, flat and friendly route. Still recovering from a Christmas Day cold so kept to a light run.

Ran down to Wisley and over the new bridge across the M25. Nice smooth surface to run on.
