It needs national level politicians who are actually intelligent and compassionate, can communicate with most voters without seeming detached or patronizing, and can uplift those people and educate them. It is not easy. WJ Clinton and BH Obama could do it. Failing that, divide up the work.

This, from Bouie, is a nice point: Trump's grievance is not just against the officials who opposed him or prosecuted him, but against the American people, who in 2020 voted for the other candidate.

Twitter has degraded a lot since Musk took over. Bluesky seems better. But I implore people here to stay there too and keep an eye on it. Already my feed here is becoming too much like an echo chamber. It is infuriating to deal with the bad faith arguments and morons over there, but we need to.
