Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist. But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this Al generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the Al Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building. I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.

P5 obviously tries to fix some of the stuff people railed against in P4 -- you're thrown straight into combat in P5, which takes like five hours in P4 -- but in exchange it holds your hand for faaaaar longer than P4 ever really does. I am on my second dungeon and my hand is still being held

The best part about P5R is that it's on PC and I can start looking at mods to stop making Morgana such a creep. But also good grief if you're going to give me so much interesting shit to do in my downtime it's so frustrating to not actually let me do that most days because "you're too tired"

I adore the Persona games (well, Personas 3 4 and 5) but I have waited nearly a decade to finally come back to Persona 5 and I love this game dearly but oh my god it does not know when to shut the fuck up

I do understand: you want permission. There’s a machine in the corner wrapped in human skin that makes things out of shit and blood to look like whatever you want (as long as you don’t look too closely). You gave one to your teacher and they didn’t notice. Your boss told you to use it after they laid off half the team and it was fine. You fed one to your kids and they liked it. You want to know you can use it sometimes without me thinking less of you. You don’t need me to believe it’s useful, you just want me to be polite about it. But I am a hater, and I will not be polite. The machine is disgusting and we should break it. The people who build it are vapid shit-eating cannibals glorifying ignorance. I strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself.
