PLEASE call your senators and congressional reps and demand that they NOT be complicit in this abuse of executive power. Tell them that you believe ALL our children deserve the benefit of effective teaching methods, and that their teachers deserve continued access to info on evidence-based practice.

The Dept. of Education, in its current incarnation, was created by an act of Congress, as were many of its subsidiary programs, including the IES. The executive branch does not have the authority to dismantle the DoE or its programs without the approval of Congress. en.wikipedia.org/.../United_S....
