Speaker Johnson and House Republicans shut down the government and shut out the people they were elected to serve. Their inaction isn’t leadership, it’s a betrayal of the American people. It’s time for Speaker Johnson to stop making excuses and bring the House back to work.

Doing your job means showing up when it matters most. It means showing up for our servicemembers, our veterans, our seniors, and the American people who deserve a Congress that works for them.

Their votes have been stolen for decades. Voter suppression is massive and gerrymandering is worse than ever. In spite of that their opponents won a few times. Militarizing cities and election systems and locations plus controlling DoJ to discount millions of validly cast ballots will end it.

I know this sounds extreme. It is.

I know I sound overly alarmist. I don't think I am.

Trump is enacting a well thought out plan so he and his allies can rule forever.

But it's not too late to stop them. We can peacefully and forcefully mobilize now. We have the power.
