It’s one thing to get conned but Trump voters got conned by quite possibly the biggest idiot on planet Earth.

πŸ“½οΈ WATCH: β€œThe U.S. sent us to El Salvador so that El Salvador could do the dirty work that the U.S. couldn’t.”

Hear from Juan JosΓ© Ramos Ramos, Andry Omar Blanco Bonilla and Wilmer JosΓ© Vega Sandia β€” three of 230+ Venezuelan men the Trump administration sent to CECOT β€” in their own words:

What will happen to PBS and NPR stations if the Senate votes to claw back funding? | CNN Business Public media stations are on the verge of losing the federal funding that has helped keep them on the air for decades. Here’s what that would look like.

When @npr.org was created 55 years ago, it brought news and education to places private media often leaves behind.

Now, Congress is considering a $1B cut to public broadcasting. That means fewer resources for local NPR stations and less access for rural families who rely on it most.

I know we’re hearing a lot about how the Medicaid cuts in OBBB affects rural hospitals. But they will impact people in the cities and suburbs and people who are *not* on Medicaid.

Cambodia recently confirmed its 10th case of H5N1 bird flu in humans for 2025. 6 of those cases have died.

RFK Jr cut $4.6B in grants related to pandemic preparedness and laid off the experts working on imminent health threats like….bird flu.

Why Did a 75-Year-Old Man in Poor Health Just Die in ICE Custody? Isidro Perez came to the United States from Cuba nearly 60 years ago. This is who Stephen Miller is going after now?

Just awful: A 75-year-old man just died in ICE custody, ICE has revealed in a notice to Congress.

But here's the rub: This man, a Cuban national, was first paroled into the US in 1966β€”nearly 60 years ago! They were set to deport him anyway.

"Grandfathering" is hardly a protective policy because of how common churn is in Medicaid β€” a phenomenon that will be exacerbated by work requirements and more frequent eligibility redeterminations, both fundamentally paperwork hassles that will make temporary lapses in Medicaid coverage.

If you want to know who the lawyers are who will be teeing up class action fights in every case against Trump right now, you can find them in this organization, American Attorneys for Justice.

The vast maj are class action lawyers. My friend/former partner Lori Andrus is their current president.

This is the line from the horrific SCOTUS decision today that will stick with me. β€œSure, the president should follow the law - but the courts can’t force him to do it.” Rendering the Constitution a dead letter if the president decides he’d rather not deal with it.

Although Alito frames the remedy here as "notice and opt-out," the reality is that school districts cannot manage such a sweeping opt-out system. They are far more likely to simply pull books with LGBTQ characters off classroom shelves altogether rather than face a ruinous, high-profile lawsuit.

The Supreme Court is setting up a de facto presidential dictatorship, in which the president is immune to the law, can openly defy courts with no consequences, and courts are not even empowered to order him to stop disobeying the Constitution.

So I do not accept that nationwide injunctions are bad and everyone is doing it. Who are the injunctions being used to protect or harm?

A nationwide injunction blocking the DACA program vs. a nationwide injunction saying β€œquit kidnapping citizens” are not the same.

This Supreme Court is not a judicial court, but a royal court.

They exist not to apply the laws of this nation fairly for all its citizens but rather to prop up the king and attend to his needs and his needs alone.

Not everyone can afford a lawyer to sue every time that orange shitgibbon takes a dump on a Constitutional right. Big law firms used to be a way to help those without means but he’s cowed them too. I fucking hate it here.

it is the Imperial Judiciary when courts say that presidents can’t unilaterally overturn constitutional text, and the Proper Order of Things when courts say that your rights rest on the whims of who happens to be in office

Bonus 136: Nationwide Injunctions vs. Nationwide Class Actions If those who oppose non-plaintiff-specific relief are doing so on principle and not just politics, they should support more robust nationwide class action suits against the federal government.

It's worth keeping in mind, insofar as today's #SCOTUS ruling is going to put a lot of pressure on federal district courts to certify nationwide class actions, that part of why nationwide classes have become harder to certify is because of ... the Supreme Court:

Nation-wide injunctions do not give the courts unfettered power. It’s giving them the power to hit pause while cases work through the judicial system. It seems to prevent irreversible harm like people being sent to foreign prisons with no way of getting them back. Am I wrong?
