Never heard of it, but now I am curious

I only know about this film because of The CInema Snob's unrestrained love for it

A movie I haven't mentioned before, and which has one of the lowest ratings of the movies I like (but not love), it would have to be Maximum Overdrive (1987)

I can also bring up Star Trek: TMP, which is my fav ST film (which also has a mid-rating)

This film is solid!
I went in with very low expectations and had my mind blown.

I would probably put that as my 4th favourite film. But it is a hard choice. I just know I have had more fun with Commando overall than I have with True Lies, but both are fantastic

I just learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a small role in The Long Goodbye and.... I knew there was something very familiar about those muscles. I just didn't recognize him behind that moustache.

And frankly, I am surprised he didn't mention the role in his autobiography.

This is the third time doing this, so I guess this will be my third favourite Arnold film (not including either Terminator movie)

Haha, well, yes. That is the third one. He is not in II.

I was pondering that myself some time ago. He ended up in jail, but I think that was after his career had already ebbed out

I came close to picking Rosewood instead of Serge - I just love that character in the first and second film - and he is also decent in the third one.

Serge is not in the second film, but the third one. So that is why I didn't specify it in my initial comment.

The way I see it, it is a natural progression from the first film - you get how the characters developed the way they did.

The villain and plot is not as great though.

It is particularly surprising after the second installment, which is one of my favourite sequels of all time.

I read about Zombie Ass a few times - not sure where. Still haven't seen it, but it is on my list.

I don't really use Netflix, but I am surprised how random it can be. It seems to be disproportionately full of Pakistani, Indonesian and Indian horror movies (at least whenever I look at it)

I love this movie!
I found it on DVD (somehow) when I was 16 and been a fan ever since.

It is like the bastard lovechild of Tarantino and Rodriquez, but focusing only on the excessive elements of both directors, missing anything remotely "auteur"

Ahhh and yes, I guess I am just "normal" in that case, because I feel none the wiser.

Aside from the excellent choices you already have, I would say that Shadow Warrior (particularly the one from 2013) has some of the same demon-ass-kicking energy as Doom.
Project Warlock also has some metal vibes. Ion Fury too.

For movies, I would have to do some more thinking.
