Death robs it of a clean ending. You're left with one unresolved note and a need to find a conclusion somewhere in the mess.

I don't know if there's a neat way to end this. Perhaps that's fitting.

But to those no longer here who have impacted me, no matter how big or small.

I will play the notes you left behind in the art that I make, on and on until my own song has run its course.

It got me thinking about my nan.

I was lucky enough to spend the majority of her final days with her. She lived a good, long life. And I have a lot of fond memories from those last few weeks.

But there were also difficult and upsetting moments. Ones we weathered through with her during her sickness.

A human life is so complicated. A long series of intricate notes that weave into a beautiful mess of a composition. But no matter how the piece crushendos near the end-
