Not sure this is on your list. UK band The Chameleons have a song called Tears. it stops on the word stop. The word is in the chorus. It happens multiple times. And they have an acoustic version of the song on the same album. With all the stops. It is a pretty stop heavy song.

I agree with this hypothesis. Rare Earth-Why complex life is uncommon in the universe by Ward and Brownlee is a book I really liked that includes this topic. Alone in the Universe by Gribbin is more about where Earth is and things about the Moon etc that makes Earth habitat and protected.

Jon Ronson’s book “So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed” discusses the mob mindset with things like this. Really interesting book.

Leah Kardos and. Arsalan Mohammed do make it sound decent with their enthusiasm for several songs. There are moments/songs on the two albums but they should have been so much better. They basically made it possible for Bowie to stage a “comeback” when he dropped the band and went solo again.
