All of them except Melody have ear piercings. Arthur’s original design used to have a bridge piercing so I headcanon that he briefly had one when he was younger but it got yanked out almost immediately during a fight

I'm playing with the idea of giving him gloves for book 4 Also changing his hair stripes to a lightning bolt I originally was like "No I'm not giving him a lightning pattern in his hair that's so overkill" However. If it is on purpose then it's an interesting character choice and not bad design In the book 3 finale there's a throwaway line about the hero's soul being strongly aligned with ice (because of a combination of being bonded to an ice elemental spirit and also the Getting Frozen For Like 8 Years Thing) And I'm thinking maybe I should make it so the alignment to ice is just gradually getting stronger over time (which is what I was previously doing with energy) BUT.

The hero is super traumatised from being frozen in game and I want to be mean and make it so him leaning so hard into the energy thing (see: The Hair Situation) is him trying to push away any association with ice The guy is in denial Also cold all the fucking time. So. Gloves Anyway I will stop openly bullying my OCs now (I'm also thinking that should be what the pupil glowing should be caused by not energy magic like I've been saying until now) I want his life to suck because it's entertaining to me

Arthur's pupil glow thing should be ice-related not energy-related. This is interesting to me and I will not explain why because that would require effort

Misjudged how easy it would be to post every random thought I have about my characters on here. I forgot that to do that I'd have to actually turn my vague thoughts into coherent sentences and that's hard actually

You’d think Thorn would be the normal one but no. Biter. They’re not even sorry about it.

Key lore about all of my characters is that they’re scrappers. Melody and Tazle are a little more knight-like than Arthur because of their backgrounds, but Tazle is fundamentally an unpredictable freak and Melody has her blackouts so both of them have definitely bitten opponents before

DF Arthur would 100% bite someone. He’s not a trained knight he’s a rogue and he doesn’t always play nice in fights. He’s definitely had his nose broken before by someone trying to get him to stop.

Making her have an overnight transformation into a corp goth half way through the story is actually the smartest thing I've ever done with a character tbh
