And a second thought: Boeing hasn't built fighter jets in ages, that was Lockheed Martin. As a potential buyer, I'd want proof of their alleged quality, abilities and superiority, before I'd spend 60 or 80 million dollars on 1 jet.

The question is, can the US afford their own planes without subsidization from Europe, Japan, South Korea? Who can and wants to buy them?

Europe needs fighter jets at low costs and easy maintenance which are superior to Russian jets.
