(took the opportunity to practice, hope you don't mind ๐)
Hello everyone! Recently I released demo of my roguelike Depth of Mind. I will be glad if you play and leave feedback. Thanks!

14.10.2025 20:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm still not sure about the font though. I tried a few others, and this one felt the most fitting... but still I don't know, hmm.
13.10.2025 19:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Spent the last few days working on a thumbnail for my game "Out of Chalk"! My first try at high-resolution art - turned out surprisingly neat, I think.
The game is available on itch.io:

Someone posted a walkthrough of my game a few hours ago! It's the first time anyone's ever made a walkthrough of any of my games, so I consider it to be really cool, yeah! :D
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Fr0...
By the way, I'm currently working on a new thumbnail too. I want it to be drawn in high resolution (not pixel-art), and to be animated with some particles and post-processing effects, so it looks cool and professional. Will post updates soon >:)
09.10.2025 18:00 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Renamed the game from "Chalked Out" to "Out of Chalk". The new name feels more memorable and seems to spark more curiosity.
Thanks to a certain gamedev friend of mine for helping me decide ;)
Most likely yes, I like this character :)
09.10.2025 12:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Woah, I just got my very first donation tonight!! A whole dollar! :D

09.10.2025 11:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I just realized I managed to complete two Ludum Dare jams in a row for the first time, which is actually really inspiring for me. I often struggle to come up with ideas that excite me enough to push through all the hard work it takes to finish them, but it seems like I'm getting better at it.
08.10.2025 23:59 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just released my #LudumDare58 game on @itch.io!
It's a short experimental Sokoban with a touch of narrative about debts and black magic. Push spikes, solve puzzles, chalk pentagrams on the floor. You know, the usual stuff.
Try it if you're curious!

The type of pictures I want to post at 4 AM during Ludum Dare. It *is* 4 AM during Ludum Dare.
05.10.2025 01:37 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Let's go!
03.10.2025 22:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not every Metroidvania has contact damage. And Hollow Knight isn't just about touching enemies.
Also, well, I just said what felt unusual to me as a player, so I don't really see why you would take it as an objective claim to disprove
Off the top of my head, I've played Rain World and Noita lately. They're both basically platformers, and they don't have that kind of contact damage. Maybe I'm just used to these two games, but the absence of contact damage feels fairer and more fun to me
02.10.2025 23:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It also feels weird to me that the player takes damage just from getting close to enemies, even when they're not actively attacking.
In most games I've played, that wasn't the case, and it felt more fair
Thank you! <3
14.09.2025 14:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Or I can just participate in #MiniJam every two weeks instead of the challenge...
Like, why making a mechanic every week, when I can make a complete little game every two weeks instead?
Hmm, sounds right to me...
This one is a classic. Played on mobile a few years ago.
05.09.2025 14:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Looks really polished. Nice to see this game making it to Steam after Ludum Dare. Wish you luck <3
03.09.2025 18:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I keep adding events to Depth of Mind. I wanted actions to become a currency that can be exchanged for a reward, that's what happened.
And dont forget to wishlist Depth of Mind:

Making one game mechanic every week.
Week 3: JRPG-style character controller.
Moves in four directions, always walks a full tile - just like in classic JRPGs. Also animated that little guy for the demo :]

Tyron โ 8/20/25, 2:49 PM one more time! PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT ABOUT HOW THEY FEEL PLAYERS MAY BE WRONG ABOUT WHY PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS WRONG ABOUT THE SOLUTION
a friend of mine who's worked on a somewhat recent free multiplayer game says this about player feedback that I feel like is very astute
hearing the feedback is frequently important but responding to it well almost never means just doing what the players say they want
I'm kinda tired of all these gray squares on my page. I think I'll finally draw some nice art soon :D
