First bigger painting of 2025! Clearly, I still have a penchant for purple. Here is my take on a black Lotus!

This is done in Oils on A2 paper. (roughly 12x16'')
This was a very hard one to take on initially. The original design was very flat, very subdued, but i wanted to make more of an effort, which is trough when my fatigue is so high. Having the boar in motion, and the triton gladiator matching, ready to stab down, made this one of my fav pieces. I do think now, i might have altered the colour grading, perhaps made the tusks on the boar a little more out of control, like no one can get close to it to really take care of it, but the size and scale of the beastie is definitely there. The triton though? I'm still very much in love with. Having coral growing off of the armour that matches her hair-like fins, plus the trident and shield combo was so much fun to execute. I genuinely hope to do more work like this in the future :)
