I guess it feels different in another way. I understand people's skepticism/fear of new things. I understand people wanting more for themselves - and opposing efforts at creating a more fair, equitable society.

But this feels like people have decided life is too easy and they want to have a fight.

We've always had people who stymied progress, but this feels different. We're taking things that are solved and undoing them.

Many of these things aren't (or shouldn't be) political: vaccines, sunscreen, fluoride

We're un-solving our world and I'm supposed to keep going on like normal during this?

Watching us undo a century of human progress has been weighing on me a lot lately.

How am I supposed to remain motivated to make the world better? Eg, why bother with my carbon footprint when people buy gas guzzlers and AI companies boil the earth?

It's been so demotivating.
