Blast from the past. I had no clue about the price drop because of my youth so I just thought "oh hell yeah free games". Such a great selection of titles and a lovely emulator to boot. I swear I played those games more than anything else ever released on the thing (other than New Leaf).

Don't forget that clearly the porch light is on in the right while the video you posted has no direct light to refract.

The right example is a bit too far from the camera but you can see there that a strand of the web is looking like the strand of fiber in the video.

A community. I know it's not my place to judge, it'd be hypocritical as someone who has chosen to remain somewhat close-knit with the folks I do contact - but man would it have killed you to take some damn bread and said "thank you" for having a neighbor thinking about someone they didn't have to?

their neighbor "play loud music" and just be "annoying". I don't know why the conversation is still in my head but I think it's because it's emblematic on the state of the world, at least in my little slice of reality. People are jaded, and they don't want to even risk the potential downsides of...

than anything that their neighbor was weird for making the offer. On questioning what my coworker actually knew about their neighbor, they just said that they didn't know anything and preferred it - and that taking the rolls would've created a relationship of expectation that could possibly have...

my coworker refused, because fair enough you don't want possibly expired bread rolls I get it, but it's how they refused. My coworker was insistent that people should avoid them when they're heading home - that they present a purposefully "tough" exterior to try and avoid interaction, and more...

moved into their apartment. They were telling me that one night on their way in that they were stopped by their neighbor. The neighbor didn't really say much apart from offering rejected rolls from their food manufacturing job to take - a simple offer. What continues to stick with me isn't that...

Kind of a ramble but I work nights at a desk, and usually right before my shift really starts I debrief with the folks who were working last before they go off to sleep. One conversation that's been gnawing at the back of my head is one on a neighbor. You see, my coworker had somewhat recently...

Spoiler alert though for kind of everything - it's gonna be hundreds of reasons, of which only several I mention and give a spotlight to. Obvious ones: "We just want it out", "We feel like we're ready", "We are a company".

None are evil though. This is a game's company. All involved - be real.

much as I have been, which is to say hard numbers and what not, as well as *heavily researched and sourced by exact quote* gameplay descriptions, which seems to be key to really understanding a lot of where we're going.

Essentially I want to tie together the reasons why I've heard so far alongside both official (public + private) sources and community speculation on why CIG is seemingly "so confident" in the near-term future, while seeming so desperate on a monetization stage. I'm going to lean into the facts as

I keep imagining ways to go beyond the next thing I've been posting so I decided to just say "fuck it" and landing on a direction. I know there's enough info in what I've gathered so far to answer that question, so a bit of review is definitely gonna be warranted which I've been needing to do.

Currently deciding on how to present the next batch of information. It's the spiciest yet, but it's so detailed and broad that it'll probably get split up into different sections. I'm just debating whether to hit monetization, or future content first.
