For context Geekbench shows that the iPhone XS had a multi core score of 2652. The snapdragon XR 2 has a multi core of 2453.

This is before we even get to the GPU and memory bandwidth. Let alone the fact that the Vision Pro has a second processor just for inputs and cameras.

Samsung's XR headset appears with Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip Samsung's first XR headset, currently codenamed Project Moohan, has appeared in Geekbench's database with Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip.

According to early data, the chip in the Galaxy XR has a multi core score that is lower than that of the iPhone XS 😅

8️⃣. But are Apple going to try and compete directly with Open AI and Google with their own chat bot? I don’t see that happening for the foreseeable. But we’ll have to wait and see. What’s your opinion?

7️⃣. That doesn’t mean they won’t build more robust capabilities with their own LLM’s. Or do deals with other companies etc. And I do think we’ll see some exciting advancements in the next year from Apple.

6️⃣. Apple is betting that in the long term that trust, privacy and tight integration matter more to the average person who make up the vast majority of their user base.

5️⃣. What we do know is that Apple isn’t trying to build the best chatbot. It’s trying to build technology that feels almost invisible to the user. Features that enable people to do more without them even realising in some cases that they’re using them.
