I think Delano has a consistency in his run none of its bad. Also more variety. Ennis may have higher highs, but he's also done issues I hated. I liked Paul Jenkin's run more than Garth's.

Ellis won't be on the book long, less than 10 issues. I'll explain why in a few days time.

Chibbers and co made Flux during lockdown. Amazon made War of the Worlds, Zoom edition.

If you wanna see bad Ice Cube reaction face, this is the movie for you. All he does for 90 minutes is zoom calls.

It's fucking wonderfully stupid and bad. The kinda bad you can be spoiled on and go "Wait what? Really? Oh I gotta watch this bullshit!"

Amazon gave it the green light. Multiple people okayed this shit.

Of course I watched Ice Cube's War of the Worlds. It's fucking terrible in every single way and amazingly dumb. Planes fall to their deaths. The aliens eat data. Yes you read that right. In fact the aliens eat Ice Cube's dead wife's Facebook page. No I'm not making this up.

Hellblazer a day 139 by Ellis & Higgins. Haunted ends & John takes care of Josh Wright. It's brutal & fucked up. The ghost of Isabel Bracknell is set free. Loved this story.

I'm not sure 4 will improve your mood. It felt like a mid-season filler episode. Except there isn't 22 episodes a season anymore only 10.

Work and Dax worked for me.

I feel weird complaining about a show that's solidly good. But yeah it's not completely working for me.

SNW is more consistently good than RTD2, but takes less risks.

I'd take it a step further and say it's more like what people criticise Big Finish for being.

Mashing up all kinds of old stuff, with little reason except "Remember?"

Less tension too, most of the characters can't die.

A total nostalgia fest, with less new as it goes along

SNW gives off this vibe of a show hitting its stride, its well made, there's a confidence to it, the acting is great...... and yet I'm not getting what I want from it.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I still like it, but I'm not loving it.

The last SNW felt like an SG1 episode.

I like it just fine, but can we move away from the Chapel/Spock stuff please?

This is the first time I've read any Ellis since the dirtbaggery reveal. Haunted is wonderfully written & has a lot to say, but yeah its hard to separate things.

Hellblazer a day 138, by Ellis & Higgins. John speaks to Clarice so he can meet a guy who was a magician for the Kray's. Chas runs down Wright with his cab and Wright gets nicked mate. London has a lot of ghosts, John knows where most of em are.
