Did some inkpractice (dry and wet).
I am working through my last workbook right now and it definitely keeps me on my toes. The watercolour section is no problem but I am a total beginner if it comes to oil and it shows 🫣 preparing the canvas correctly is already tricky!

Sorry for the quiet here, but I am back from my holiday in Japan now. 🙌
I am starting on the last topic of my long-distance-course now: oil and aquarelle paintings! So you can expect more of this soon 💪

I actually started watercolour in 2021 but this is one of the very rare watercolour-attempts I did before that (on normal reprographic paper because I was dumb and didn’t even now watercolour paper existed 😂)

Since I am mostly a watercolour artist it was easy for me to get the hang out of ink as well. I definitely want to do more with this medium, it´s so much fun!
These 3 sheets are training pages to get the hang out of ink and also learn how to focus only on the important shapes

My drawing course will soon be over. One year of going back to the roots & trying out new forms of creativity (like linocut). I definitely want to sign up for a new course next year as well!
This month we focus on ink. I never worked with it before & I really love it! It´s similar to watercolour 🧡

I am in charge of a pretty big painting right now. Our townhall celebrates its 100th birthday on August 22 d and I have to make a large photobooth for it.
That´s were all my drawing energy goes into right now 💪

I guess you use a pretty good quality brush then :)

Tried out linocut. Was an interesting way of creating art, though I don’t think it’s for me. But it was nice trying it.

Is this a con where the light is like this everywhere? Because I have never seen something like this in an artist alley, it´s fascinating!

love to see such delicate work! Does this brush hold the colour well? I constantly have to dip my brushes into the colour if they are that thin so it gets difficult to draw one long line without running out of colour.

I like the purple outlines here, it really makes them pop!

shoebills are definitely one of the most dinosaur looking birds.
I heard that they were wrongly misplaced with the stork-group though?

But nothing beats a cassowary when it comes to dangerous looking birds.

Finished my birthday present. This one was definitely out of my comfort zone since I usually don’t draw detailed backgrounds. Or landscapes in general.
