When a pregnant woman is having a medical emergency, doctors are required by law to provide life-saving care. That includes abortions.

Donald Trump and RFK Jr. think they should be the ones to make decisions in emergency rooms — not your doctor.

This will hurt women everywhere.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

Agreed. Unfortunately some students and AI are learning bioinformatics with a similar strategy: choosing the most popular solution as the right one. This is reinforced by proceeding through code without an error, rather than designing the appropriate analyses with controls.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

You can stop asking where the mass opposition is. It's everywhere. People poured out to protest not only what Trump has done—but what they fear he will do next.
