The claims here are instead like others challenging the executive's power to impose government-wide personnel policy, not "any [one] personnel action," claims which have remained in district court. E.g., Feds for Med. Freedom v. Biden, 63 F.4th 366, 369 (5th Cir.) (en banc), vacated as moot, 144 S. Ct. 480. When reckoning with this case law, defendants vague out. The do not attempt to show how the facts of this case compare with the first string of cases, instead merely saying that plaintiffs never "distinguish the facts of their case" from those of Fausto, Elgin, or Veit (Defs.' TRO Opp. 14). Plaintiffs plainly did, and do so again

First time I've seen a case have 6 seperate applications for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Even though it was an unusually long wait for the decision on leave, no surpise seeing them all granted. #SCC

The Supreme Court granted leave to appeal today in John Howard Society vs SK. When inmates are charged with disciplinary offences, does guilt only need to be established on a balance of probabilities even though it can result in longer incarceration? Not surprising to see this appeal dismissed from the bench at the Supreme Court of Canada. It was its second trip to the #SCC.
