Would love to but that’s not likely…husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and though not in the last stages, it’s pretty bad…I don’t see him being able to travel…miss your wit and wisdom, lots!

I think we were told we could go home early if we were close enough to walk home…I could have, but stayed with those who had to either wait to be picked up by parents to take a bus home…some of my classmates cried, others seemed unaffected, some seemed to be almost catatonic…a sad, sad day…

A few minutes later, a TV was rolled into our room and our teacher explained that the president had been shot…the news was turned on and we watched until it was reported that JFK had died…

I was in school…pretty sure we were working on math…the principal came into our classroom and whispered something into our teacher’s ear…our teacher looked shocked and said something like “you’re sure?”
