This one was an amazing find, a black postbox from the time of Edward the 7th! Rectangular set in the wall of Cambridge train station . Although looks not in use but still have been here more than 110 years!

A big red postbox, double in size compared to others with two slots on top to put mail inside. Big round top and massive body, crown of Edward the 7th with the letters E and R entwined and the letters vii very small inside the E. Background of a London street

Going back in time, this postbox is from Edward the 7th, so from before 1910 ! This one is also double in size and apparently not far from "modern" postboxes from the time of Queen Elizabeth in London, so just a happy chance to see it

This postbox is from George the Fifth ! So at least from before 1936 ! I like how this one has a Capital G and no "v" , like you KNOW which monarch it is.

Not all postboxes are round ! You may find a rectangular one set inside a wall in a village occasionally (this one also from the time of George the Sixth). I find it fascinating that the "g" is not capitalized, and a different crown
