Was originally commenting on Brave but yes they both use Chromium as responded by others. Sure Firefox is quite dependant on Google ad revenue, but most software that is free needs ad revenue to sustain themselves.

Firefox is independent of chromium completely and privacy centric.

You should always be protecting your identity. Strong pass phrases, multi factor authentication, using a password manager, difficult security questions are absolutely imperative to securing our personal data. Too many passwords to remember, the annoyance of the MFA process needs to be pushed aside.

A careful balance needs to be had between protecting the general public’s data privacy while still upholding law, especially in cases as disturbing as this. Great article.
