General Break Out | TFA OC

[The general tilts his helm as he listens to the information.]

Good to know, then. I have seen minibots as small as that, but they typically do not have alt modes, so you may be right about that. Unless you get more upgrades and become larger.

[Break Out hums quietly.]

Did you have an alt mode? Landing in root mode can be quite tricky in the beginning, but it's usually not so bad when in vehicle form.

[That seems to peak Break Out interest.]

Were you a flier, then? I imagine you did not have enough time to learn to fly, given that it seems you were not cybernetic for long before the... time shenanigans began.

He's gotten it past just the seams before. Had to remove a thigh plate once because he /somehow/ got a branch stuck under it. I've watched his memory, and I still don't understand how that happened...

[Break Out rolls his optics.]

Word of advice, don't go for a swim for 2 megacycles through-

[Break Out's visor dims, and he lets out a long-suffering sigh.]

Oh, trust me. He's acquainted himself with the mud of this planet. Plenty. And many different types. And the water. And the plants. I've found myself hating the plant humans call pondweeds...

[Break Out hums, closing up his subspace and focusing back on Alice.]

He's doing alright, currently out trying to catch a scent for some shards. He already has one on him, but he's hoping to get another before his patrol is over. Overall, he's been enjoying his time on the planet.

[Break Out chuckles slightly.]

Well, you wouldn't be the first person to call me their carrier or sire, even though they're technically subordinates. However, this situation is a bit different in context.

[Break Out looks to the alcove and starts digging in his subspace once more. He brings out a-

I would not deny you the claim. I believe Tracker's connection stayed somewhat, and it has already been leaking over to me, I must admit... It makes it feel like something is missing in here. Or, rather, someone.

[He glances towards the alcove.]

and hearing that you saw me in such a light is... comforting. I do not have all the experiences of your memories, nor the emotions connected to them, but clearly you felt close to me. Your reaction to my arrival makes much more sense now. If you would like.. you can go back to calling me sire.

[He visibly relaxes, and his features soften a little. There's still a stark undercurrent of protectiveness for Alice in his field, but it's been quelled by Alice's admission.]

I'm glad to know that I was someone you felt safe enough around to see me as a sire. I hold such positions very seriously,

[Break Out listens attentively to Alice's speech. He tenses up a little at the mention of Alice's stepfather, his EM field lashing out very briefly with a deep-seated rage and protectiveness for Alice; however, it's quickly calmed by Alice admitting that he saw Break Out as a sire figure.]

I'm not exactly sure of the differences. I've tried to research both terms since you first called me 'Dad,' and most of what I've found has many meanings.

You.. cannot have energon, can you? Even if you could, I think all my cubes would be too large for you.

Tracker has gotten much better at handling overwhelming environments on his own, so I haven't thought about them much for a long time. I usually keep a little bit of everything in my subspace, and that happened to be in there as well.

[As though to prove his point, he reaches into his subspace-

[Break Out fights back a small smile.]

"Any time, Blight. Being a carrier on your own is never easy, and I want to help whenever I can."

[He knows what kind of hel it can be without support, and he wants to be there for Blight.]

-too loud or overwhelming. It dampens your senses, makes things more muffled. You'll still be able to understand speech, though. You can only use it for a few megacycles though, and then it will need to recharge. It does it automatically when not plugged in.

I'm not sure if this will work for you unless you have a normal port to plug it into, but this is a patch I made for Tracker.

[He pulls out a small device that almost looks like a USB plug.]

It's meant for short-term relief when things get-

[Break Out's optics dim at the sight, and he settles in a bit more, glancing down to Blight. He'd put the sparkling with their carrier, but he'll wait until they're fully in recharge. He doesn't want to risk disturbing them too much.]

[If it were about anything else, Break Out would be a little put off by it, but he was the same with Tracker. He'd be a hypocrite if he said anything against it.]

"Good. And you have enough fuel for yourself, right?"

And this does not harm you, correct?

[Even if he doesn't have the same attachments or memories as Alice, he doesn't want the organic(?) to become ill or hurt. The kids like him.]

[Break Out leans a little closer, his visor coming up so the red tint doesn't get in the way of his vision anymore. His optics visibly zoom in by several magnitudes, studying the blue marks.]

The red and blue Prime? Of course he'd come to get you himself. He seems like a soft spark.

[Break Out snorts slightly. Idiot, you're a soft spark too, don't try to hide that scrap. You're not fooling anyone.]

[The display makes Break Out's expression soften a little.]

..Of course that would be one of the first things I taught you.. Allspark, I'm predictable.

[He chuckles, shaking his helm with a slight smile.]

Though I do enjoy seeing a human such as yourself know our salute.

Yeah, sounds about right for Tracker. So I took you back to base and.. just talked with you?

[Break Out steps into his room, offering Alice to stand on the desk. The alcove in the wall is still there, just barren now. It looks a little weird without the nest of blankets and mesh pillows in it.]
