Sketching on the train- headed South in Taiwan 🇹🇼

This painting features different elements from Guatemala: the volcano Agua in the center, the central part of the Guatemalan flag with quetzal, rifles, and swords on the left, and a VW bug coming out of the right side of the panel. We first really chatted at a macadamia nut farm where this cute vw was parked in front.

First painting I gave my (now) husband. Acrylic on canvas, 2007/2008 ish.

It was untouched for about 3 months… hopefully they get the message that their tag won’t last a day and that’s it not worth it.

Sigh- first tag on the mural. Gonna cover it up ASAP after work 😣

Largest dahlia of the season so far! Kind of giving 🍳 🤍💛

Some progress has been made! Partially fleshed in telephone pole and a few heightened details in foreground. Still a lot more to add- telephone pole wires, and lots more small house, car, and foliage details.

This unfinished painting has just been hanging out since almost last year, when the neighborhood mural project arose and took over all my painting time. I’m finally getting back to it though! Acrylic on canvas- “The Portola, San Francisco”

How Muddy does relaxing 😆

Brown wool sweater with several large holes. A new rectangle of grey and blue Swiss darning is covering a medium size hole that was on the arm. Fuzzy Muddy waters is just visible in the upper right corner.

I’ve been entrusted with mending my husband’s old Navy sweater, lots of work on the one hand, but so much space to practice on the other. I have never figured out Swiss darning previously, but something last night just clicked! It will get neater with time, but I’m still kind of proud of myself-

For the first time in 4 years, all 4 rose bushes are blooming in harmony! 💛❤️💜🩷
