Feeling bad for the families of victims is alright, but sometimes they're victims because of the consequences of their own actions, and sometimes they aren't.

There IS a distinction.

...sometimes, people die because other people do wrong things, and other times, it's the consequences of their own actions in a system they may or may not choose to live by.

This whole thing is a tragedy, and especially now of all times, it's going to have a place in history.

...law is imperfect as people are imperfect, it's nothing but a social contract that must be amended in response to death and suffering as consequences for actions.

With war, it's way too complicated to assign morals and laws with actual, physical consequence until after the fact...

Well, I've gotten more engagement than I expected from my steam blow-off posts, so for the sake of nuance, I should say this:

Murder is wrong generally, however, if you saw a list of people who suffer and die, you'd think it be because of a war instead of a legal business like private insurance...

What he did was illegal, certainly, but most of American history is a matter of evil things that are legal, but not forever.

I mean, if anything, it means that he rose above what he is, and he's an actual martyr because he went down even though he would have had an easy life otherwise.

I've seen actual accounts say nonsense like this when abstaining was put under scrutiny. Even actual Republicans have been more repentant in the face of current events.

We've tried being nice with non-voters. Telling them about Project 2025, Trump Heights, and the general reality that the economy is always better under Democrats.

They need to be made an example of. In fact, they are an example already, and they're making an 🫏 of themselves running damage control.

Then I replied with how 90 million people abstained over voting Democrat and they responded with "voting is what got us here"

So apparently, some people like what Trump does, but hate the person.

So you basically agree with Trump in one regard.

Boy, the things people will endorse just to have the right to say "I'm smart because I hate everything"

Ah, so you're personally advocating on Trump's behalf.

There's no shortage of sources saying how wrong you are, and now current events you helped facilitate are so blatant that even popular opinion has turned against you "everything stinks, I'm so smart" types, and you can't stand it.

90 million people didn't vote for him, but they helped him win anyway.

It doesn't matter how much you, I or anyone else scream to the heavens that he's the worst lump of a human being ever to pollute the planet with his existence,

If it doesn't mobilize people to vote Democrat, it's nothing.

And they're all easily contradicted by a source. Because for some reason, people's response to current events is to have EVEN LESS nuance than MAGA voters going forward.
