This is interesting. I’m woefully ignorant about this frustration. And certainly one of the privileged. The intersection of hobby and livelihood definitely compounds this problem in the TTRPG space.

After my recent Chaosium Con playtest, I’m so close to finalizing my latest #CallofCthulhu scenario.

Inspired by Deliverance (1972) and @lairdbarron.bsky.social’s “Mysterium Tremendum,” it aims to hit hard. Though linear, the excitement is in the accelerating Grindhouse-style horror.

In this recent review of our Cthulhu Dark campaign, Miskatonic Shoreside Conservatory, Stygian Muse says, "After a while, the surreal, dreamy atmosphere starts to resolve into a concrete nightmare."

We could not be more delighted with this brilliant review!
