Events taking place-
The ringing demonstrations are going ahead at RSPB Bempton and South Landing, both 8am-12pm.
The guided walk for those booked on it is going ahead (meet at the lighthouse for 10am start).
The FBO migration station will be open 9am-1pm in the Living Seas Centre, South Landing.
The evening talk by Mark Pearson (now fully booked) at the Living Seas Centre, doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start.
Sadly the vismigging is cancelled tomorrow.

Well that wasn't on my bingo card for today, even when news broke at Tophill. My kids missed the train home due to a slow bus, and so I was in Bridlington when the White-throated Needletail was refound at Bempton #birding #yorkshirebirding

Unbelievable moment when it shot through as we were watching a Barn Owl! Raced down to cliffs to relocate and initially no sign, but it then reappeared and we had it flying over our heads 🤯🤯

Up to ten Minke Whales with periodic feeding frenzies @flamboroughbird.bsky.social on Thursday included a small calf. Quite a variation in dorsal fin shape and plenty of blows as very active. The blows are usually weak and faint but seem much more visible and strong when very actively feeding.

Absolute belter of a day at @flamboroughbird.bsky.social today with first Reed & Sedge Warblers of year followed by a spring Yellow-browed Warbler and delicious Ring Ouzel but a Spotted Crake was the icing on the cake, what a place!!!
