We just got a huge win for Oregonians - and a check on the president's power: we received a ruling preventing the president from deploying the National Guard on the streets of our cities.

No one - not even the president - is above the law.

BREAKING NEWS: We just secured a final court order blocking National Guard deployment!

Today's ruling is a huge victory for Oregon. The courts are holding this administration accountable to the truth and the rule of law.

Trump is saying other countries will pay for his tariffs, but HIS OWN LAWYERS are telling the Supreme Court the opposite.

BREAKING NEWS: We’re suing the Trump administration for illegally suspending SNAP benefits.

Approximately 1 in 6 Oregonians receive SNAP benefits, including more than 214,000 children and 130,000 older adults.

Ever wondered how to explain tariffs to Gen Z? I recently laid it out for Gov. Beshear (and his teenagers) — just in time for Oregon to take our tariffs case to the Supreme Court on November 5.

LAWSUIT UPDATE RE: NATIONAL GUARD IN PORTLAND: The Ninth Circuit just paused the three-judge panel’s order on our first TRO until Tuesday so they can complete their en banc vote, deciding whether the full court will hear the case. This means for now, both our TROs preventing National Guard deployment remain in effect.

What's next: Today’s Ninth Circuit’s administrative stay will last until 5pm on Tuesday 10/28. This will maintain the status quo—preventing deployment of National Guard troops in Oregon—while the court votes whether to rehear the case en banc. Given this development, we expect the second TRO will remain in place as well. Our team is working around the clock preparing for the trial in the district court on the merits of this case. The trial will begin on Wednesday 10/29.

“This decision gives the court time to fully consider the serious constitutional questions at stake. It also ensures there won’t be a federal deployment while that process plays out—an important step in protecting Oregonians’ rights and keeping our communities peaceful.”

LAWSUIT UPDATE RE: NATIONAL GUARD IN PORTLAND: The district court in Oregon just scheduled a hearing on Friday on the government’s motion to dissolve our second TRO, which currently prevents any Guard deployments in Oregon. Meanwhile, we will be filing a brief in the Ninth Circuit later today urging the court to hold an en banc hearing on the motion to stay our first TRO. This means that, for now, National Guard troops still cannot be deployed in Oregon.

What's next: Ninth Circuit: Today, we’re submitting our brief to the Ninth Circuit urging them to vote to grant en banc review and vacate Monday’s stay ruling (which paused our first TRO that had prohibited deployment of the Oregon Guard). Timing on next steps is determined by the court and unknown to us at this time. District court: On Friday, we’ll argue that the district court should not dissolve our second TRO (which currently prevents any state’s Guard from being deployed to Oregon) while we wait to see if the Ninth Circuit will take our case en banc.

LAWSUIT UPDATE RE: NATIONAL GUARD IN PORTLAND: The district court in Oregon just scheduled a hearing on Friday on the government’s motion to dissolve our second TRO, which currently prevents any Guard deployments in Oregon.

"AG Dan Rayfield supports Planned Parenthood in fight against unlawful defunding" Over a background with person holding a sign that says "My body, my choice, my future: safe abortions save lives."

What happened: The so-called Defund Provision of the Big Beautiful Bill Act blocks federal Medicaid funding for essential medical services like cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing, and wellness exams provided at “prohibited entities.” The criteria for a “prohibited entity” were crafted so it applies almost exclusively to Planned Parenthood. The provision threatens at least 200 Planned Parenthood health centers nationwide, affecting healthcare for more than 1.1 million people. Oregon and a coalition of 23 states sued in July, and the case is currently pending. Planned Parenthood filed a parallel challenge, and Oregon and other states have filed an amicus brief in support.

Why it matters in Oregon: According to Planned Parenthood Action Oregon, Planned Parenthood health centers in Oregon provide care through more than 100,000 patient visits each year - nearly 70% of which are for patients covered by Medicaid. Without access to Planned Parenthood, thousands of Oregonians will have nowhere to go for life-saving health care.

We are standing with Planned Parenthood in the legal fight against unlawful defunding.

In Oregon, Planned Parenthood health centers provide care through more than 100,000 patient visits each year - nearly 70% of which are for patients covered by Medicaid.

We will urge the *full* Ninth Circuit to vacate today’s decision by a three-judge panel, before illegal Guard deployments can occur. A Ninth Circuit judge has already called for a vote on whether the case should be heard by the full court. Our team will file a brief encouraging the court to do so.
