ICE is executing people in broad daylight, kidnapping adults and children from their homes, SAing immigrants, letting them die in detention centers, and treating them like entering the country illegally is anything more than a civil offense. They are treating everyone w/ compassion like criminals.

The National Guard needs to stand up against this, not just be crowd control for those rightfully protesting.

I'm seeing a serious uptick in people being shamed for taking a step back from this dystopian reality for a recharge or distraction. Whether it's a film, watching sports, playing a game, or just walking the dogs, self-care is essential.

Another Black House lover! It's my favorite King novel and in my Top 5. I read it in 7th grade originally and then returned to it more recently. It's quite the experience the first time around—the second time, while I'm an adult...? Goddamn.

It is incredibly hard to balance wanting to protect my sanity by turning everything off ignoring the world, and wanting to be a good upstanding citizen who does something about this bullshit. Every day is exhausting in this administration and it is fucking intentional.
