It’s here! Today the first episode of my mini series podcast, “Becoming Whole: Six Spiritual Movements”. It delves into the question: What does it look like to be spiritually formed as queer person who follows Christ? We tackle shame, pain, isolation and so much more.

The opposite of faith isn’t doubt—it’s certainty.

Just as love and hatred are deeply connected, doubt reflects a desire to understand, a yearning for faith.

You’re closer to faith when you ask questions than when you cling to certainty.

It is so sad.

I noticed that people often want me to give advice in spiritual direction. Don’t get me wrong. I love giving advice but that’s not my role as a SD. I’m here to be a companion with listening and question.

I am afraid listening is a dying skill.

These words were truly comforting to me at the end of this day. Perhaps it will be a gift to you, too.

Thus says the LORD:

Cursed are those who trust in mere mortals
and make mere flesh their strength,
whose hearts turn away from the Lord.
