I'll look into doing my own thing again, cause its beating my sanity to keep getting jobs and be berated for not Socially Fitting in.

Socially doesnt fit in =

A quiet introvert who happens to be Black

I dont laugh at ethnic and gender based jokes

I speak in a calm manner instead of shouting at customers

I apologize and fix my work mistakes, do better, and dont make excuses

I say no to co-workers grabbing my hair, massaging

I accept that I'm not able to memories & master the social cues and unspoken workplace rules in my life time

I let it go

I accept that every 6 months I'll have to get a new job because socially, I'm not a "good fit".

Excellent work performance, 2 Masters Degrees, great communicator = 🗑 to them

Let's be mindful that there are many 75-100 yr olds who walk among us who's fondest childhood memories was seeing us in wire, wooden, and glass child trafficking cages

May our embodied spirit heal from these cages; we are worthy of rest.

Hungry people will rise up, then those with power & control will find an additional excuse to silence, detain, and "cleanse".

Instead of leaving me in peace to work in my corner with ear plugs and stress ball they choose to be upset that my presence makes THEM feel called out. They want everybody who is near them to be the SAME

Hospital Job, library job, community spaces, church, spiritual retreats, relatives, school, and even past business clients were ALL spaces that have issues with my "calming voice".

Many were haters, envious, puzzled, agitated, or felt uncomfortable that Im still, warm, friendly and organized.

Its a practice to not yell, scream or holler at work, I put in that practice-yet thats not what the bosses want.
They need a person who's ears can tolerate the noise with zero complaints *except for jokes about needing aspirin, wine, or a nap.
That is acceptable while wearing a an calmer is not

When its the middle of the night and there is no one to talk to: I leave VMa with my therapist. A note to say that the social isolation is aching my soul, the social punishment for being introverted disciplined non-chaotic calming presence leads to ME being ostracized at work, "friends" bouncing

Those of us who have or had parents, church leaders, and teachers who behaved like dictators are sadly better equipped to survive right now

We know how to temporarily conceal & distract ourselves with internal creative thinking while we wait for 4 to 18+ years of oppression to pass
