-back to Gateway City, as commanded by Urzkartaga. Now the Cheetah reunites with Wonder Woman on opposite sides.

While she tries to keep this fact a secret from Urzkartaga, she is being selective with her prey, trying to pick people she deems unworthy of life. She becomes the origin of many different urban legends and cryptid sightings, until she makes her way-

Over the next year, however, Barbara 2.0 loses her humanity completely, calling herself the Cheetah. There is no human form for her to revert to anymore. Under the instructions of her “master”, Urzkartaga, she travels the globe, preying on human flesh.

She’s also furious with herself for not being there to help her. All this time, she was carrying that burden, and Diana couldn’t do anything about it. So, she believes Barbara to be dead and carries the shame with her.

All that’s left is the beast. The humanity is purged from her.

Meanwhile, Diana finds out about what happened from the specialists, and, well, she’s furious with them, breaking their guns easily with their bare hands.

-cannot be loved by humanity because she wasn’t made to be one of them. She was made to belong with him, the only one who could love her. He floods her mind with painful memories. It isn’t long before Barbara Ann Minerva succumbs to her wounds and dies.

-voice both unfamiliar and familiar at the same time calls to her. The glory of Gaea does not shine upon her tonight unfortunately. Instead, a different nature god, a Dark Gaea if you will. Urzkartaga whispers to her softly, welcoming her back home, telling her that she-

-first time. Could this be a trail left by Diana for her to follow? She limps towards the trail until she reaches its end and collapses. Her senses begin to blur. She coughs up blood…there’s that taste again. Its still delicious and that still scares the hell out of her. A-

-this is a lot. She speeds away in tears, further and further into the jungle, crying for Diana who does not hear her. Then she sees it- fireflies- in a strange linear trail for her to follow. She remembers that night in the woods, how Diana showed her the fireflies for the-

-with the constructs being strangely terrified of her power and retreating. Although, when she turns back to the specialists, she is not met with gratitude, but fear. In an attempt to drive her away, the specialists shoot her twice. Even with the enhanced durability she has-

-specialists and her get separated from Diana, and swarmed by Urzkartaga’s henchmen made primarily of plant matter. The specialists’ bullets don’t seem to be working, and in a moment of panic, Barbara willingly turns into her beastly form and attacks the constructs. It works-

-and conquered that fear. While none of her companions know it, Barbara wants to go on this trip to Bwunda to finally conquer her demons once and for all, confident that she can get through anything as long as Diana is by her side.

That being said, on the mission, the-

-head, she’s always thinking about how her curse is derived from Urzkartaga. In fact, for a while she used to be terrified to even get close to nature, but she had a good night with Diana in the woods where they had a heart to heart (as pictured in that last drawing)-

-all with their own unique knowledge and talents to help them in the mission. This includes Barbara. At first, Barbara gets along with them really well. They bond over their love of adventure and their own obsessions. Diana is happy for her. However, at the back of Barbara’s-

-plot involving Urzkartaga, which will take her to that jungle in Bwunda that the Minervas ALMOST decimated (they ceased operations after their daughter was born, fearing incurring his wrath any further).

Julia assembles a team of specialists to accompany Diana to the jungle-

-there was nothing to fear because she would ALWAYS have her back.

I think there is mutual attraction between Diana and Barbara, but Barbara’s completely smitten with her. She remains a fixture of Diana’s life for around a year.

Then, Diana begins investigating into a dark-

-everything Barbara wasn’t but wanted to be. Barbara eventually became good friends with Diana, and she makes her feel for the first time like life has endless possibility. Still, Barbara always hid her secret.

Diana encouraged her to be herself, seize the day and assured her-
