I need more of you to stop referring to sexual assault as sex. The blurring of those lines is part of victim blaming framing esp when ppl are talking about abuse of kink. Specifying that language would be helpful in identifying the ways in which kink is abused vs ppl just not liking specific kinks

Again I say sex is always messy. There is always opportunity for abuse. And that is scary so I understand the desire for simple rules to curtail abuse but no matter what it reverts to the same issues purity culture has in shaming normal sexual desires and provides cover for abusers

Also forces those who want to practise these kinks (women enjoy being choked it's not pressure from male partners or porn consumption shut the fuck up) to be more secretive which not only gives abusers more control it means they won't learn how to practise safely from a broader community

Again banning porn categories or framing specific sex acts is about as helpful as abstinence only sex education esp when it comes to actually preventing harm.

Even if you’re not calling us stupid for participating you are implying that the victim should’ve known better than participating in something dangerous or “for men’s sadistic pleasure” erasing the complexity of women’s sexual desire.

Blaming BDSM as a whole or specific kink generally (like choking) for abuse is just playing into abusers game bc they just have a perfect escape route now. Same for porn addiction panic. They can just repent and not take responsibility all while women who participated take a lot of blame
