Tonight's a chill night. Me and The Bear in the woods of Ogden, QC

Earlier this week at a local car show. Fins from 1954, 1958 (mine), 1959, and 1960 Cadillacs.
Note - my 58 fins should have a chromed trim...still waiting on that re-chroming to be completed.

The Bear had a rough week... getting skunked at the house in St-Liboire, QC on Tuesday, followed by decontamination meant no rides in the '58 Cadillac. Back at the house in Ogden, QC now and all is well. For the moment, anyway...

My 1958 Cadillac is most definitely not a "show car" but I still go out to a couple of car meets. Just so I can hear the snide remarks from "the purists" who drive resto-mod 57 Chevvies... Bless their hearts...

Summertime in the Estrie region of La Belle Province is meant to be spent with one's vintage Cadillac and rescue doggo!

So how often does a 57 year old, still in the original box appliance turn up? Ummm... today! 1968/69 Avocado Green Canadian Sunbeam Mixmaster that was ordered (COD - bet only a few of us know what that means) from the Eaton's catalogue!

Just for fun - a 1960 Pink Frigidaire Deluxe automatic washer, all tuned up and ready to wash again!

The Bear is enjoying the weekend in Ogden so far...

Bear also got some Hi-Fi Therapy, featuring Ray Conniff. He didn't howl...

Friday night and the tubes on the 56 GE Hi-Fi are all warmed up. A perfect opportunity to spin the last of the true Conniff vocals arrangements from 62. 'S Continental!

I'll swear that whoever invented those pine-tree car air fresheners owned a vintage vacuum that hadn't been used for months since Hoovering up the needles from the Christmas tree..

Me: "Oh sweet, a 58 Cadillac at Timmy's"
Also Me: "Oh yeah, that's mine!"

"So, me, the chipmunks, and the groundhog is hearing tell there's a new dog moving in soon. Ya didn't ask us what we thought of that. We had over 2 years peace and quiet and now youse guys are gonna wreck that."

A chilly, somewhat dismal Friday evening in Ogden,QC is perfect for warm vacuum tubes, Ray Conniff, and Manhattans
