lol. I'm a pantser through and through, but for the game systems i usually put together a pretty detailed spreadsheet to keep track of xp, levels, skills, etc...
Story is loosely planned, but the characters tend to throw a bucket full of monkey wrenches into anything i try to outline, so i dont.

Very much this. Take all the logistics and planning that goes into having a good fantasy story and then add in spreadsheets and math. Not only do you have to design a logical system, you have to incorporate a quantifiable measure of a characters growth in such a way to meld in with the story arc
