His head is low and turned away from the viewer after being slapped. He is looking away from the viewer in shame. Vaughn is wearing a striped blazer with a pink shirt, brown shoes, and dark blue slacks. Hooper is wearing a beanie, glasses, denim jacket, denim pants, and converse shoes. The funeral director wears a fedora, glasses and all black suit. In the background is the tiger shark they mistook for the great white shark, strung up on a hook and rope, and were prematurely celebrating its capture. Further into the background all the townspeople look equally ashamed for the death of the Kitner boy and their now embarrassing celebration.
