Nope...not until you stand up to those that have ruined America, threatened allies, and destabilized the world.
16.04.2025 13:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I often wonder what people imagine fighting fascism is like. I think they think itβs like resistance gun fights against oppressors in the streets or something. Itβs actually doing things every day that push against oppression. Itβs looking at what a regime tells you to do and saying, βNoβ

I don't disagree. I bet if we did have government run liquor store she might not. However, most of us want her out. I would also say, most of is Albertans are Canadian first. It doesn't really matter if there is American liquor on the shelves. We aren't buying it.

27.12.2024 15:36 β π 41 π 26 π¬ 1 π 1It would be nice if we could invent a device that people could wear when they were sick to filter out germs and keep other people around them from getting sick.
But alas the only option available is to open mouth cough on everyone nearby.
Reminder that one of the most important times to wear a mask is right now during holiday season travel. Transits hubs are high risk as many people travel while they are sick. A high quality mask like an N95 will help protect you and help ensure you don't miss out on valuable time with loved ones.

"Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high, If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders' Fields. "

19.11.2024 00:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We have also used this to pre-test before meetups. We can also be very confident not to to spread covid asymptomatically. This is important because we tested positive on a rapid test without symptoms prior to a covid cautious camping event.
18.11.2024 21:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We've got an elementary aged child. Despite our mitigations, the weak link was always school. We never felt confident in the rapid tests even if they were negative. With our last illness, we confirmed it wasn't covid and so we relaxed our mitigations in home.
18.11.2024 21:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We love it. It's given us piece of mind when my little guy got sick recently. We're using it to pre-test for covid-cautious meetups and will hopefully allow us to be more relaxed when we visit family for the holidays.

You see, I know a bit of what itβs like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1
I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
I spent my childhood behind barbed wire. My parents lost everything. 1/
