I’m glad Trump-voting farmers are pushing back. But my sympathy for their trade and their family farms is limited. They voted for this. That are getting exactly what they voted for. And the only part they don’t like is the financial impact on THEM. They care nothing for other people.

Hate-filled people voted for terrible things they assumed would only happen to others. My empathy is tempered. It matters how you regard and treat others. At least they aren’t in a torture prison in El Salvador.

This is why we can’t have nice things. Our Democratic Party sits idly by and says “surely this won’t go any further ”. The Republican Party plays to win and will do anything to beat the Dems; there is no low too low. I don’t see any good path upward.
