Lia Smith, a 21 trans student at Middlebury College in Vermont, is dead.

Smith, double major in computer science and statistics, was a former diver on the women’s swimming and diving team, a member of the chess club, & an advocate of trans rights.

The Montpelier City council is under no obligation to consider my request that they adopt a Resolution for themselves, as I am not one of their constituents; I have been trying to notify ANY public in Montpelier...

The City Council of Montpelier has been sent the materials to create a Resolution for their own municipality but apparently had not presented this to their public. 19 other Vermont towns have joined Rutland in making their own Resolutions: Could any of you folks help me out?

Us ALLIES need to speak up more in defense of those in vulnerable communities; all the time, every chance we can get, with anyone who will listen. Especially now.

Speak up in defense of those who cannot safely do it for themselves, and take the time to educate people who are ignorant.
