The new Congressional maps have just been released, and California has to come together in November to stand up to Donald Trump and these corrupt Republicans who are trying to rig the midterm elections. Democracy is on the line and we have to fight back!

The darkest fear of DNC centrists has already happened. The crumbling of institutions and the rule of law is far worse for them than leftist populism. The center and left are much closer ideologically then you would think if you only read things online.

We are going to flip this seat by building a strong coalition of middle and working class people, and by running on a vision for an Affordable Future for All!

“Why aren’t people marching in the streets?” Because you need an easily understood catalyst. The pressure is building—we need a climactic moment to unleash it.

(3) try to influence Democrats to push money to state parties, and push those parties to recruit and pay top people to run them. No state party chair should be a volunteer. It’s an insult to the job.

(2) really focus on community. Shop local and talk to everyone in my neighborhood. This helps a lot with (1)

(1) pay enough attention to know when immediate action is needed, like making calls or writing letters.

Meant to say does NOT speak to why …

(5) Voting behavior will never be fully understood. It's way too complex to reduce to a single answer like 'media'. Telling ourselves simplistic stories doesn't help.

(4) As soon as we say "rightwing media bubble" it means we consider the voters unreachable forever. It's a hopeless, despairing position. It also assumes that normal people are unable to go onto those media platforms and interact. Like we need a passport.

(3) It assumes people vote solely based on media exposure, as opposed to a number of factors (religion, family, close friends, etc)

(2) It does speak to WHY they are in the right-wing bubble to begin with. Things can't be going great for people to find whacked-out conspiracy theories viable.

(1) One post-election thing going around I don't like: the concept that people who voted for T are in a sealed right-wing media bubble and that's why we lost. Don't agree because:
