As those impacted begin the long road to recovery, UMCOR is providing additional support through a recovery grant to the Kentucky Annual Conference. The funds will provide disaster case management for survivors, as well as the necessary resources for materials and labor to rebuild homes.

In April, Kentucky experienced widespread flash flooding and moderate to major river flooding, causing the deaths of at least 7 people and impacting the livelihoods of thousands. In the immediate aftermath, UMCOR supported the Kentucky Annual Conference’s relief efforts through a solidarity grant.

Pray for those impacted by back-to-back typhoons in the Philippines last week.

In response, UMCOR has awarded solidarity grants to the Manila and Baguio episcopal areas of the UMC to support their relief efforts.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen, UMCOR's support of on-the-ground partner organizations is bringing vital food and water aid to Palestinians in need.
