After grinding full-time unpaid on my own game for months now, I have to make sure my ship doesn't sink🙂
I specialise in retro graphics, PS1 and PS2, but can do everything else. Characters, cars, env, weapons, you name it.

I've been recently realizing how much stuff I like is just various flavors of Wizardry as well. It's so fun to trace back those elements and see how it's morphed across different series.

Ah yeah that's been my main issue area too is audio. Even trying alternatives (Renoise for me) the vst and music production ecosystem is way more of a hassle.

There's that whole setup with JACK, usb audio hardware isn't out of the box friendly yet etc etc.

Then you make it do the skeleton dance! In practice this kind of stuff hurts my head so much but is so cool haha.

Daggerfall has been wonderful btw! Been enjoying it quite a bit all kitted out with the majority of your mod list. Still ironing out some technical stuff but it's very very cool to see how much those old bones still work with some community love and effort.

Ooo all really good stuff to keep in mind. The ultima underworlds have been on my backlog for a long while. Cool to hear they're decent in the fashion dept.

There are so so many old drpg / rpgs that have this wealth of different immersive interesting things going on.

Do you have any favs that do this well? Particularly with dungeon crawlers, I haven't sought this out in the past as much but I do appreciate a good paperdoll fit thanks to you and daggerfall unity + mods recently.

This is reminding me somewhat of the dwarf fortress thing of world events engraved in items in how it's structured. I like the very curated approach here!

the fact that daggerfall is an amazing open world fantasy life sim, a really cool dungeon crawler, AND a dress up doll game is so important to me 😭 i am constantly near over-encumbrance but i need all my little outfits more than i need air to breathe

It was some kind of OS verification issue I think, windows on my second drive now refuses to connect to the internet, so the login screen can't phone home and verify the MS account.

Still have access to the files and stuff so not bad. Just a real goofy situation.

I kind of screwed up my dual boot setup but it worked out because now windows won't let me use it even if I wanted to 😅

the anime sfx-making tool! It's called ANIMEVOX, in big letters up top. Then there's the controls: In vertical pairs: Left: Pitch Rise Rise speed Reverb Room size On the right: Wobble Speed Wobble Amount Tone Brightness Volume Next is a row of keys: Randomize - randomizes the sound parameters UNDO/ REDO - go back to parameters you liked Export Wav - self explanatory, it saves a copy of the latest sound to your hard drive. Then the fun buttons, with cute art styles: IMPACT, sparkle, beam, powerUP, PON, BOOM, slash, woosh Each produces a preset sound, which then goes through the fx chain. Hope you enjoy it!
